Sincerity

After a long time, i am feeling like writing something, nothing as
such is happening in the surroundings, so there are no new updates,
everyone in the class is busy completing his/her skirts, drafting the
final pattern and all those other last moment works.

But one thing is there which differentiates our tech batch from all
others in the college is the commitment and sincerity of students
towards their studies and the focus towards the carrier.

I had been in the school and i never saw such an environment where
everyone is working and giving a neck to neck fight to each other.

During the school days, some of the intelligent brains were seen
discussing chemical reactions and physical forces and principles of
Pythagoras even during the lunch.

A bunch of students were seen wandering here and there even during
classes, bunking the class and hiding themselves from authorities and
planning to blast crackers somewhere around the campus.

A third kind of group was also there, who were somewhat in between
these two groups, they were having some sense of sincerity either
because of parents fear or because of own interest, they were a bridge
in between these groups.

The sincerity obviously returns gifts when results of exams were
announced, but it never affected the group of people to change the way
they think and the mix of people were always present.

But here at NIFT, the situation is entirely different from the school
days, my batch is the one most sincere batch and i think the faculties
in the department and our Course Coordinator also thinks the very
same.

Each and every guy is attentive towards his/her study, the attention
sheet shows no red marks and i think at this point of time if all the
students bunks all the classes they are not going to be in problem.

Everyone is complete with each and every work, no re-scheduling of
assignment dates had ever taken place, each and everyone is performing
in the class, most of the guys and girls are punctual in coming to
class, this is because of the desire of everybody to top the class and
grab the rank 1.

The commitment of this class is really to be praised.

Kudos to

2009-13 FASHION TECHNOLOGY BATCH.

semester 1 - after MID - sems

we have came from home after the Deepawali break to continue the next part of semester,

Results had came and everybody was serious after it, as most of the people were quite dissatisfied after the results but not all.
As usual the classes started, at first we all people were keen to attend the classes but now the situation was different, guys maintaining 100% attendance had come to 97%.

we were given one more project that too of 200 marks, Integrated Term Project ( ITP), we started working on our projects and assignments, slowly and steadily we got aware of the culture here, got to know what to do to get maximum marks.

We would abuse this system when we got less marks but praised the same when we got good marks.
one thing i observed was that if you have a good reputation among the faculties you get benefit during marking.

In between these days many a happening occurred, we visited Common Effluent Treatment Plant, CETP in the MIDC area, turbhe.
This visit was meant for teaching student about the water treatment techniques, but this visit become a bad memory for one of my classmates, STANLEY GEORGE, he lost his mobile in this industrial visit, can't got it till now, no one knows where the mobile went missing inside the bus.

now i was interacting with all my classmates, the one and a half month time got over and we were to face the end term exams again, same as of the first semester this time also my exams went superbly good according to me but same as that of the mid semester i was again depressed after the results.

after observing the whole class for 6 months, i come to know that it was the best combination of people of different thinking, helping, co-operative and interactive.

On the day i was going to home, we were to attend Jatin's Birthday Party at his home, would like to thank Jatin Sharma.

now for the last few days i was suffering from a major home sickness and in the train i just kept thinking when i would reach home, meet my parents and my dear friends.

Fashion Etymology

Fashion:
Fashion is a major force in our daily lives which affects every aspect of our lives... what we see, do or wear.
It is a complex concept involving much more than apparel, accessories, cosmetics and hairstyle.
It is a style that is accepted and used by the majority of a group at any given time.
Fashion leads us to discard a product that is still useful but is no longer “IN”.
Fashion is a prevailing custom, usage or style.
Fashion is vital, challenging and ever changing force.

Current style is the latest in fashion.
This is the ‘Fashion’ that is popular everywhere.

In a trend the following things combine to make a fashion:

Its wearable quality.
It is adapted to figure types, to age groups and its shape must be such that it will make up superbly into almost any fabric in any season.

A fad is a fashion that comes into popularity overnight. The style becomes a fashion very quickly and it fades off even quicker.
A fad refers to a fashion that gains popularity in a culture relatively quick, but loses popularity dramatically.
Some fads may come back if another generation finds out about it and gets interested in it.
For example Dayglo paint was a fad in the USA in late 70s. Then Dayglo accessories and clothes had a comeback in late-mid 80s.
It is arguable that a fad that remains popular for a significant amount of time typically loses its significance in current popular culture as it evolves and becomes accepted into a society’s everyday culture as trends.

1st SEMESTER

Our classes started in the second week of august and some of the subjects were quite interesting for me and the others were a load on the head.

In GENERAL SCIENCE & MATERIAL SCIENCE class, I dominated the class and all my classmates would see me as if they would snatch all the flesh from my body and eat me. While in other subject i was a numb, this situation was most dominating in ELEMENTS OF DESIGN and OVERVIEW OF FASHION INDUSTRY.

we were given lots of assignments in the coming weeks, at first this work was quite interesting but later on it become a bored thing to do. all my classmates did lots of works in completing the assignments, doing lots of research but later on when the results were published everyone was shocked because marks were seldom given on the content, it was solely given on the amount of money you invested to make the assignment look good.

It was quite disheartening for me at least because i was the one who was in the list of the research workers for the completion of my assignment.

In a month, we all classmates become good friends and there was a healthy atmosphere in the class before the formation of axial groups in the class took place. People of same thinking made a group in which they were quite busy. The unity and strength of class reduced because of these things, although i would say whatever happened was a good change.

In between these days, i started liking a girl in the campus, i don't know why but i was attracted towards her, she grabbed my attention all the time, i was unable to resist her, i still like her, if god helped me and favored me i would be writing about our relationship in near future.

The days passed and we were to face the mid term exams in the next week, all the guys were busy in submissions, we did all the submissions, some complete and some incomplete, every one was busy studying on the night before the exams, some of the exams are COMMON BOARD EXAM and the other are PROCESS BASED EXAM.

I was quite happy after the exams but again after the result there was a large sad arc on the face as it was not expected in the exam, i was so much dissatisfied that i filed a RTI complaint to the DG ( Director-General), i was contacted by the PIO ( public information officer) and was told to come to Delhi to see the papers.

I left the hope and again started for the next part of the semester.

In between this i made lots of friend in NIFT, interacted with lots of people with diversified traits and characters, some were very funny and some were damn serious. some of the people were so different in all the aspects i think, i can't forget them, can't name them here and can't explain their traits also, but you can understand. (LOL)

I escaped all the interaction with seniors because of the fear of raging, although there is lots of strictness but i avoided public showing.

Myself at NIFT, Mumbai

The day I decided, I have to join NIFT was a painful day of my LIFE.
I was never very excited about going to a fashion school for some fashion-related studies.
But destiny brought me here and today I am studying as a student here.

I could clearly remember that day, my first steps inside the campus.
It was 27th of JULY, bright afternoon and a very pleasent temerature was there.
I registered myself at the mumbai campus and did all the formalities.
Overall it was a good day, i met Sushant & Pankaj on the day and we 3 people decided to live together at least for the next 1 year.

On the very first day of ORIENTATION PROGRAM we were given the list of programs and events going to happen in the next few days, there were many a program and events, these things included THE INTRODUCTION TO OUR RESPECTIVE COURSES, MUMBAI DARSHAN, ALUMUNI MEET, PERSONALITY DEVELOPMENT SESSION & DISCUSSION WITH INDUSTRY EXPERTS.

Slowly and steadily we got familiar with the Campus, the Culture, our Classmates, the Faculties, the Department and the last but not the least our Seniors.

In this way our ORIENTATION PROGRAM at NIFT, mumbai ended and again the same story of classroom, lectures, projects, assignments, submission, juries started and still going on.

Next part of the story in the next post, hope you people have enjoyed it,
have a good day, bye.
